The Joplin Roadrunners are a group of local runners of all ages and abilities.  We meet on the second Monday of every month to share our experiences, encourage one another, preview upcoming races and enjoy one anothers fellowship.  It is our goal to promote and foster running in the tri-state area.  Check this site for meeting locations and times.

Joplin Roadrunner membership dues are $20 and are due in January of each year.  Checks are to be payable to Joplin Roadrunners and may be mailed to Joplin Roadrunners.  P.O. Box 847, Joplin, MO  64802.  If you are not a member, we ask you to consider joining us  Besides receiving the monthly JRR newsletter featuring local and regional running news, you'll get the chance to connect to other area runners, stay in the loop regarding upcoming area and out-of-area races and support some great charitable causes.  To join, just fill our the membership form and mail in with your dues today.                                  Come Run With Us!

There is a group running on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Saginaw at 5:30 PM.  For more information call Travis Keller at 850-0574 or e-mail  keller1996@sbcglobal.net.

There is also a group meeting to Run on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM on the Frisco Trail.  Meet in the trail parking lot at Zora and St. Louis Streets in Joplin.  For more information, e-mail Mark Plucinski at plive2run2@aol.com or check our Facebook page.

Date Change for Next Meeting!!   The meeting has been moved to 7:00 PM on Monday night, February 15th at Panera Bread Company at 2401 E. 32nd Street in Joplin.  Our special guest will be the Missouri Southern State University Womens Cross Country team.  Join us as we honor these ladies hard work and their third place finish at the NCAA Division II national meet.  For more info, contact James at (417)529-7447.



                 New 2010 JRR Officers Elected                

A new year and a new web site are not all that is new around here.  At the JRR's last meeting, James Kirby was elected President of the Road Runners for the 2010 year.  Greg Edster was elected Vice President and Travis Keller will continue as Treasurer.  Congratulations guys!  We thank you for your leadership.

Joplin Roadrunners donate back to community!

2009 Joplin Roadrunner president Scott Springer (far right) and JRR member and Pumpkin Run Race Director Bill Hoover (center) present a check for $1900 to the CP Center.  The donation was made possible by proceeds from the 2009 Pumpkin Run.

The Joplin Roadrunners voted at October's meeting to donate $500 to the Joplin Boys and Girls Club.  The club recently was burglerized and quite a bit of equipment and some cash taken.  Above, 2009 JRR president Scott Springer (right) and club treasurer Travis Keller (left) present the club's check to Rhonda Gorham, Boys and Girls Club Director.
