Joplin Roadrunners Presents $3700 To Local Charities
The Joplin Roadrunners strive to be good community citizens by supporting local organizations that seek to improve the quality of lives for those living in Joplin and Southwest Missouri. The club recently presented $3700 to three local non-profit organizations. Just another example of runners and JRR membes making life a little better for the unfortunate, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Steve Noland presents a check for $1000 to Amy Malone, Grant Development Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Joplin. The money was raised during the Run With the Wind race (the Sarcoxie to Carthage Run), for which Steve serves as Race Director.

Bill Hoover presents Mary Little, Executive Director for the United Way, with a $1700 check for the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Joplin. Bill is Race Director for the Pumpkin Race, where the money was raised.

Scott Springer, Joplin Road Runners president, presents a check from the club for $1000 to Perry Johnson, president of the Trails Coalition of Joplin. The coalition supports the development of Rails to Trails projects in the area.
