Hello members!
First off, we have some very exciting news. TwelveOne Race Management has announced that they will be offering a $5.00 discount on all 2016 races for our 2016 Joplin Roadrunner members. This will be at least 30 plus events for $150 value! We will start taking membership dues in December 2016 so you can start taking advantage of these discounts ASAP. Additionally, we are asking that you renew your membership in December or January so that we can get an accurate number of shirts ordered.  And of course, if you know anyone who is a runner and is not a part of JRR to please reach out to them and let them know what they are missing out on. If they have any questions please have them contact us. Also, if they would like to come check out one of our meetings please also invite them to do so.

When: Thursday,  December 10th at 7pm
Where: Woody's Smoke House, 25124 Dermott Dr., Joplin, MO
We will be having our Christmas party at Woody's Smokehouse again this year. We are changing things up and having everyone go through the line to order what they want, rather than limiting you to a few choices. They are expecting us at 7pm, but feel free to show up a little earlier if you'd like.

We will be accepting 2016 memberships. Current 2015 members will have the opportunity to vote for the open positions on the board of directors.

We hope you all can make it!

Please find the attached newsletter that includes Club Updates, Upcoming Races, and a recap from last month’s meeting.

The Joplin Roadrunners are a group of local runners of all ages and abilities.  We meet on the second Thursday of every month to share our experiences, encourage one another, preview upcoming races and enjoy one another's fellowship.  It is our goal to promote and foster running in the tri-state area.  Check this Website for meeting locations and time.

Additionally, as some of you already know, there have been some incidents involving cars/people following runners or cars almost hitting runners/cyclists. Runners and cyclists that would like to report an incident involving a vehicle or person can do so on the following website: http://look4states.org/home.html

Of course, a good description and a license plate number will help the police immensely with the case.
