First off, we have some very exciting news. TwelveOne Race Management has announced that they will be offering a $5.00 discount on all 2016 races for our 2016 Joplin Roadrunner members. This will be at least 30 plus events for $150 value! We will start taking membership dues in December 2016 so you can start taking advantage of these discounts ASAP. Additionally, we are asking that you renew your membership in December or January so that we can get an accurate number of shirts ordered. And of course, if you know anyone who is a runner and is not a part of JRR to please reach out to them and let them know what they are missing out on. If they have any questions please have them contact us. Also, if they would like to come check out one of our meetings please also invite them to do so.
Mark Kinsley, who invented the Kippo shorts, has offered our members a 20% discount until March 31st. Please use the code you received in the JRR monthly email. You can find these at http://kipposhorts.com/
Our very own Brian Smith wore these shorts in a 50k this past weekend and they performed flawlessly.
WHERE: Morse Park, Neosho, MO
WHEN: August 11th - 6:15pm Group Run/ 7:00pm Dinner & Meeting
You can't beat the meal Eldon provides at this meeting so don't miss out. Also, the trail we run on and the park is very nice and family friendly so bring your kids!
"On August 11th the club will hold it’s annual meeting in Neosho at Morse Park. Arrive at 6:15pm if you would like to participate in the group run. Dinner and the meeting will follow at 7:00pm. Eldon Morgan will be providing a delicious dinner for the group. Members may wish to bring a lawn chair because there is limited seating at the picnic tables under the pavilion."
The pavilion we will be at is not far from the "World's largest flower box." I believe there is a helicopter not far from where we are at as well.
We look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday!
We hope you all can make it!

The Joplin Roadrunners are a group of local runners of all ages and abilities. It is our goal to promote and foster running in the tri-state area. Check this Website for meeting locations and time.
Additionally, as some of you already know, there have been some incidents involving cars/people following runners or cars almost hitting runners/cyclists. Runners and cyclists that would like to report an incident involving a vehicle or person can do so on the following website: http://look4states.org/home.html
Of course, a good description and a license plate number will help the police immensely with the case.
